This year, we made a conscious decision to scale back the number of clients we took on at the Monaco Yacht Show – not an easy choice, but one driven by the desire to enhance the quality of our customer experience. By taking on fewer projects, we were able to offer a more inclusive and attentive service while also giving ourselves the opportunity to network and truly experience the epicness of MYS! Last year, we had back-to-back bookings from the moment the show opened until after it closed each day. While it was a fantastic experience, this year allowed us more breathing room to engage with friends, clients, and new contacts rather than being behind the camera 24/7.
Despite reducing our workload, we still had the pleasure of working with two major yacht brokerages: Yachting Partners International and Superyachts Monaco. For both, we focused on brand establishment, capturing stunning shots of their stands, filming yachts in the show, and creating guided walkthrough videos. From intimate parties and events to elegant yacht tours, we captured it all for them. Each client received a tailored package of edited images and video content, perfectly suited to showcase their presence at the show.
The time we gained from a lighter schedule allowed us to not only connect with existing clients but also forge new relationships. We left the show with three yacht shoots lined up for October and started discussions with a couple of jet companies interested in visual marketing.
Monaco, as always, offered up its signature sunny weather – with one rainy day thrown in for good measure. Rather than see it as a setback, we embraced the moody atmosphere, which lent a unique aesthetic to the content we captured. It made for a refreshing change from the usual heat and bright skies, and we were thrilled with how the footage turned out.
Looking ahead to next year, we’ve set our sights high! Planning to return with a media team of four, ready to support more clients with the same level of dedication and personalised service, aiming to work with each client throughout the entire show, building a comprehensive case study and a media bank of content that showcases their full experience.
